The Haven Point Series at its Best! (Review)

In the town of Haven Point, love can be just a wish—and one magical kiss—away…

Computer-tech millionaire Bowie Callahan is about the last person that schoolteacher Katrina Bailey wants to work for. As far as she can see, he's arrogant, entitled and not up to the task of caring for his young half brother, Milo. But Kat is, especially if it brings her closer to her goal of adopting an orphaned little girl. And as her kindness and patience work wonders with Milo, she realizes there's more to sexy, wary Bo than she'd ever realized.

Bo never imagined he'd be tasked with caring for a sibling he didn't know existed. Then again, he never pictured himself impulsively kissing vibrant, compassionate Katrina in the moonlight. Now he's ready to make her dream of family come true…and hoping there's room in it for him, too…

I thought I was crazy about Snowfall on Haven Point, but the latest addition to RaeAnne Thayne's Haven Point series has given me a wonderful buzz. Serenity Harbor is the sweetest read of the summer. It's one that absolutely can't be missed.

Kat is in town for her sister Wyn's wedding to Cade. She didn't expect to find herself helping the new town resident care for his young brother. Bowie's life changed when he was informed of Milo's existence. Trying to balance work at Caine Tech with Milo's challenges proves to be a rough job until he convinces Kat to take Milo under her wing. Neither of them thought that working together to help Milo would bring them together in a permanent way.

Even though I've started, or jumped in the middle of, a few small town romance series like this one I've never been able to keep up with any of them. I've always expected that series longer than three books might regurgitate the same plot points or turn into a big snoozefest. Between Snowfall on Haven Point and Serenity Harbor, I'm amazed at how different the two stories are. Yes, there are more cutie pie kids and the love the characters have for animals is evident, but Bowie and Kat kind of beat out Marshall and Andy as the cutest Haven Point couple.

I'm definitely going to make an effort to keep up with the Haven Point series as it continues. I can't imagine who has a story left to tell, but I'm ready for it either way.
